ATP content in the central nervous system of rats exposed to chronic hypercapnea

Concentration of adenosine triphosphate in the medulla and in the forebrain of rats exposed continuously to gas mixtures containing 6–8% CO2 shows an exponential decay up to the 12th day. The slope has a k = 0.10, and it levels off between the 12th and 15th day of hypercapnea.
