Comparison of rates at which albumin enters walls of small and large aortas

The rate of entrance of albumin into the inner layer of aortic wall is known to correlate directly with aortic width when the variation in aortic width depends on the regions of the aorta considered. In the present study albumin was found to enter the inner layer of large aortas no faster than it enters that of small aortas. Thus the entrance of albumin into the inner layer of aortic wall does not correlate directly with aortic width when the variation in aortic width depends on the over-all aortic size.
