Insulin sensitizes normal rats considerably to the anaphylactoid inflammation produced by the administration of dextran. This sensitization manifests itself to the same extent in the spinal rats. Therefore, the sensitization takes place despite the interruption of the spinal nervous pathways and despite the stress.
