Effect of Hyper- and Hypothyroidism on Intestinal Absorption of Cholesterol in Rats

Thoracic duct lymph was collected from normal and hyper- and hypothyroid rats following administration of a test dose of cholesterol dissolved in olive oil. The data indicate that such deranged thyroid function does not significantly alter the intestinal absorption of cholesterol.
