Samuel Gordon 1, Frank B. Ablondi 1, Walter Cekleniak 1, and B. L. Hutchings 1

1 From the American Cyanamid Company, Research Division, Medicinal Chemical Research Section, Lederle Laboratories, Pearl River, New York

Intravenous or intramuscular streptokinase (SK), 100,000 or 500,000 u, respectively, was administered prior to the instillation of mustard oil in the rabbit eye. Comparison of the SK-treated animals with saline controls indicated that SK was effective in reducing this type of experimental inflammation.
